Salem Captures New Hampshire Division I Title

Nashua North dominated on the stat sheet, but it was Salem that carried New Hampshire's Division I high school football championship trophy off the field Saturday. The Nashua Telegraph reports that one of the keys to Salem's win was the play of quarterback Matthew Cannone, who completed only four passes, but three for touchdowns.

Bishop Guertin Wins Another New Hampshire High School Football Championship

Bishop Guertin won its fifth Division II New Hampshire high school football championship in the last six years Saturday with a 31-0 shutout of Winnacunnet. The Nashua Telegraph reports BG's undefeated season was led by 34 seniors.

Inter-Lakes Crown New Hampshire Division VI High School Football Champ

Defense was the name of the game in Saturday's New Hampshire Division VI high school football championship game between Inter-Lakes and Winnisquam. The Union Leader reports that Inter-Lakes claimed the title with a 6-0 win behind running back Kevin Brady, who carried the ball 35-times for 142 yards and the game's only score.

Souhegan Wins Back-to-Back New Hampshire Division III High School Football Titles

For the second straight year Souhegan beat Portsmouth to win New Hampshire's Division III high school football championship. The Union Leader reports that Steven Jellison closed-out a great season with five touchdowns in the 49-29 win. Jellison finished the season with 28 touchdowns.

Plymouth Regional Wins Record 5th Straight New Hampshire State Football Championship

For the second straight year, Plymouth and Laconia battled for New Hampshire's Division IV's high school football championship, but unlike last year when Bobcats escaped with a 14-7 win, Sunday's win was never in doubt. Plymouth's 38-0 victory was the 55th straight for the Bobcats, who also became the first New Hampshire team to win five straight state titles.

The Union Leader reports that running back Kyle McAuliffe had a big game rushing for 144 yards and three touchdowns to finish the season with a school record 1,738 yards.
