Nashua South made-up for last year and last month Saturday when it beat Pinkerton Academy for the New Hampshire Division I high school football championship. South, which lost to the three-time defending champs in last year's title game and during the 2008 regular season, needed overtime to capture the 33-32 win. Click here for a game story.
Last November, Exeter beat Bishop Guertin to stop BG's streak of three straight New Hampshire high school football championships. Saturday, Bishop Guertin got revenge beating the Blue Hawks 14-7 for the school's fourth title in the last five years. Click here for game story.
Pelham ran its win streak to 22-games Saturday and in the process captured its second straight New Hampshire Division V high school football championship. The Pythons shutout St. Thomas Aquinas 22-0 denying New England's winningest head coach another state title. STA head coach Rod Wotton was looking for his 22nd (17 in Maine, 4 at STA) overall state championship. With Saturday's loss, Wotton career stands at 331-70-3. Click here for game story.
Franklin did something no other New Hampshire high school football team will ever be able to do again...win the state's first-ever Division VI championship. Franklin shutout Campbell 8-0 to claim the crown. Click here for game story.
Souhegan won the New Hampshire Division III high school football championship Saturday beating Portsmouth 28-14. The victory closed out a perfect 12-0 season, which is the first undefeated season in school history. Souhegan also beat Portsmouth 28-21 during the regular season. Click here for game story.
The Plymouth Regional dynasty continued Saturday as it beat Laconia 14-7 in the New Hampshire Division IV championship giving the program its fourth straight title and eighth in the last nine years. The Bobcats seniors finish a perfect 44-0 and equal the feat of the 2000-2003 teams that also went undefeated while winning four straight titles. Plymouth Regional hasn't lost a game since losing to Souhegan 28-10 on November 6, 2004 while amassing a 95-3 record over the last nine years. 
Campbell's high school football program has grown very quickly. In just five years the Cougars have advanced to three New Hampshire Division VI semifinals. Saturday, third-seed Campbell upset #2 Newport 14-0 to advance to its first state championship game. Next Saturday the Cougars will play top-seeded Franklin. Click here for game recap.
