Nashua South made-up for last year and last month Saturday when it beat Pinkerton Academy for the New Hampshire Division I high school football championship. Pelham ran its win streak to 22-games Saturday and in the process captured its second straight New Hampshire Division V high school football championship. The Pythons shutout St. Thomas Aquinas 22-0 denying New England's winningest head coach another state title. STA head coach Rod Wotton was looking for his 22nd (17 in Maine, 4 at STA) overall state championship. With Saturday's loss, Wotton career stands at 331-70-3. Click here for game story.

Souhegan won the New Hampshire Division III high school football championship Saturday beating Portsmouth 28-14. The victory closed out a perfect 12-0 season, which is the first undefeated season in school history. Souhegan also beat Portsmouth 28-21 during the regular season. Click here for game story.

Plymouth Regional Wins Another Championship

The Plymouth Regional dynasty continued Saturday as it beat Laconia 14-7 in the New Hampshire Division IV championship giving the program its fourth straight title and eighth in the last nine years. The Bobcats seniors finish a perfect 44-0 and equal the feat of the 2000-2003 teams that also went undefeated while winning four straight titles. Plymouth Regional hasn't lost a game since losing to Souhegan 28-10 on November 6, 2004 while amassing a 95-3 record over the last nine years.
Saturday's game was unique because it matched-up reigning 2007 champs. Plymouth won the Division III title last year while Laconia won the 2007 Division IV title. Click here for game story.
